WGH Universe - Welcome

Before WGH became a brand, it was a story between a teacher and a room full of curious children.

Before I became a full-time first-grade teacher, I worked as a substitute. Each assignment brought a new school, a new classroom, and a new group of children trying to understand the unfamiliar adult standing in front of them.

Eventually, someone would ask:

Are you a boy or a girl?

I would answer:

“Neither. I’m an alien.”

The response was immediate.

The room would erupt with laughter, excitement, and disbelief.

“Coach Thomas is an alien!”

“What’s it like in space?”

“What planet are you from?”

For the rest of the day, the classroom became part investigation and part imagination. The children studied everything I did, searching for evidence that might reveal the truth.

I never corrected the story.

I let their curiosity take over.

The Investigation Continued

When I later became a full-time first-grade teacher, my students waited nearly three months before asking the same question. One day, while we were playing basketball, they noticed my tattoos and finally asked:

“Coach Thomas, are you a boy or a girl?”

My answer had not changed.

Neither. I’m an alien.”

From that day forward, my students became determined to prove that I was human.

I ate human food. I played human sports. I drove a human car. Surely, they argued, an alien could not do all of those things.

But I continued to remind them that intelligent life could learn, adapt, and participate in the world around it without becoming less of what it was.

What began as a playful exchange became part of our shared classroom story.

It gave us a way to explore difference without fear and identity without requiring anyone to defend or explain themselves.

The Beginning of a Universe

That story planted the earliest seed for WGH—Apparel for Intelligent Life.

WGH is more than a clothing brand.

It is the beginning of a universe.

A universe where curiosity is encouraged. Where intelligence is not limited to one way of thinking, learning, moving, communicating, or existing.

A place where children and adults are not reduced to the labels placed upon them.

You can be imaginative or analytical. Quiet or expressive. Neurodivergent or neurotypical. Certain of who you are or still discovering.

You can arrive exactly as yourself. No explanation required.

Different Expressions. One Living Source.

I have always believed there is far more to the universe than humanity currently understands.

In the days ahead, we may continue to discover new worlds, new possibilities, and new forms of intelligent life. But even here on Earth, we are surrounded by people whose minds, experiences, and ways of seeing the world are completely their own.

Those differences do not separate us from the greater whole. They reveal its range.

At the center of WGH is one belief:

We are different expressions of the same living source.

The WGH Universe was created to hold that belief and to remind us that belonging should not require sameness and that being different is never something to hide.

Earth School Begins

The first chapter of the WGH Universe is Earth School.

It begins with Friendly Visitor 001, a curious being arriving from a distant ringed world to observe Earth, its nature, its imagination, and its people.

Friendly Visitor 001 is not here to rescue humanity or tell us who to become.

The visitor is here to witness.

To learn.

To reflect what already exists within us: curiosity, connection, creativity, and the ability to recognize ourselves in one another.

The WGH Earth School Friendly Visitor Tee carries the first chapter of that story. Designed in youth and adult sizes, it invites every wearer to enter the universe and become part of what comes next.

This is only the beginning.

Welcome to the WGH Universe.
